Los Angeles Unified Summer Learning Programs
Summer Community of Schools (CoS) TK – 8th Grade ProgramThe CoS TK-8th Grade Summer School program offers a standards-based curriculum that includes math, English language arts and English language development with engaging themes and projects. Students will also have the opportunity to work in small groups to receive academic enrichment and acceleration.
On-site after school care through Beyond the Bell is also available Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Summer Enrichment
Fun and exciting virtual courses ranging in topics from robotics, STEM, theatre arts, sport and nutrition, foreign languages, and much, much more. Some enrichment courses are credit bearing, others are not. Please visit the virtual course brochure (link below) for additional details.
Due to limited seat availability, each student can enroll in one summer enrichment course, only.

KLCS Summer Programming
KLCS wants to help viewers stay engaged with their learning during the break. Our Summer Learning schedule features programs that are educational and entertaining. Beginning at 3 p.m. with “Let’s Learn”, followed by the fun and exciting “Camp TV” at 4 p.m., at 5 p.m. we feature the best of our local educational productions!

Summer Reading Challenge with Los Angeles Public Library
Join Los Angeles Public Library for another exciting summer Reading Challenge. Collect points for reading and completing fun, learning-based activities. Read books, e-books, graphic novels or magazines; or listen to an audiobook - it all counts. You can be entered into a drawing to win great prizes, as well!

Summer Term (High School Credit Recovery)
Credit Recovery is offered to current high school students in need of academic credit recovery in order to graduate on time. Contact your child’s high school counselor for more information.

ELIGIBILITY: Current 9th – 12th grade Los Angeles Unified students
Special Education Programs, Extended School Year (ESY)
ESY services are provided for students with disabilities who have unique needs and require special education and related services in addition to the regular academic year. ESY is recommended by IEP teams when the interruption of school over the summer is likely to cause regression and the student has difficulty recouping skills

Migrant Education
Migrant students, grades, K-6, are invited to attend summer school at a selected site. Teachers use a thematic, hands-on interdisciplinary approach to instruction, with a focus on math, science and language.
